Peacock Bass hunting !

Not just one, but two trips in the same day specially dedicated just for these pesky cichlids.
It all started with a morning session which triggered the later in the evening to revenge for the losses.
As luck would have it, we managed to score on a more than decent sized peacock bass on the very last cast of the day.
Here's some pictures to share, as always pictures do the talking better than words:

next up another brightly coloured bass on the mini ima Gunpeki... 
another fish on the same jig, ima Gunpeki has proven to be equally deadly in freshwater !
inhaled in a flash...
a slightly sizeable specimen, ima Koume 60 scored this time...
lure in focus...
switching back and forth between jigs and hard-bodied lures to match the match...
ima Pugachev's Cobra scored on this fella!
and another...
ima Gunpeki was consistent with this jig lost to an unstoppable fish shortly after...
ima sukari 50SS was also well-received by the little ones...

weeding out the smallies in order to reach the larger ones
a Sasuke 75 shad nailed this cichla ocellaris...
topwater strikes were drawn with the Pugachev's Cobra...

even the large Sasuke 120 was not spared but these hungry critters...
ima Gene excelled on fast retrieves with twitches applied...
Pugachev's Cobra was the top producer for topwater action...
as the sky turned darker, out came the Spin Gulf with reflective blades for tails...
